By IAMegaMom I couldn't wait to wear my new shawl today - it's absolutely gorgeous and worth well more than the price! The material is soft, thick and vibrant. You will not be disappointed.

not like illustration Nov 10, 2011
By margaret cooper This shawl is not what I expected, as it does not look like its image on the screen - which is shiny like finely woven silk. Rather, the shawl is coarsely woven, probably raw silk. If that is the case, the writeup should have said so.

Wrap Oct 29, 2010
By Kenneth Williams The wrap was absolutely beautiful, was at a good price, was new and was delivered on time.
Almost but not quite . . . Feb 07, 2012
By Heather P. The scarf was delivered quickly. Its color is not quite the pure, soft rosy amber coveyed by the Amazon image. Instead, because of the variety of thread colors, the richness of the colors is not as great as the small image implies. While described as "reversible" my impression is that the back of the scarf looks like the back and does not have color clarity equivalent to the front. This is because the black areas are not densely black but have light threads running throughout them. The thread colors used in the design are red, orange, black, gold and silver-white. The pronounced light threads throughout the other colors detract from the rich softness I was attracted to in the image. Another difference between the image and the actual scarf is that the image seems to show minimal contrast among the different colors while in the scarf itself the darker areas are actually black shot with light contrasting threads. That probably accounts for the difference between how a photo taken from a distance "sees" the fabric vs how. the wearer sees the scarf from close-up. If the actual scarf more closely resembled the image it would be a more elegant design. I'm not sure that the vendor could have done anything different other than offering not only the image shown but, also, an additional close-up image. All that said, the scarf is nice enoughfor everyday casual wear and I'll keep it.
